Portal favorite for a page doesn't work correctly

We are running EP 7 SP23. I can browse to a portal page and then add that page to my favorites. All appears to work correctly. When I select the favorite, the portal doesn't navigate to the page. The detail navigation iView is correct, but the main portal page is displayed. I searched marketplace, but couldn't find anything. Before opening a ticket with SAP, I thought I would try the experts on SDN. Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Mark

Thank you for the helpful post. I checked the URL generator and all appears to be in order. Our host is set to the web server address. The interesting thing is that the favorites entry seems to take the user to the correct page. The correct first and second level navigation tab is highlighted and the detailed navigation iView is correct. The problem is that the correct page isn't displayed.

    Hi Mark,

All the portal favorites link are stored as a link in KM folders. km ->root->userhome-><User>->Favorites.

You can check if the target URL is correct in that location.

Also Check the URL Generator service (in Global Services) Host parameter in KM configuration. The URL generator service creates URLs for applications and various kinds of resources.

To call up the configuration of the URL generator service, choose System Administration ->System Configuration -> Knowledge Management ->Content Management -> Global Services -> Show Advanced Options ->URL Generator Service in the portal.

The host name must be the web server address and not the application address.

    Regards,
