SAP IDES Client Creation Problem

Dear Experts

I have Installed IDES ECC6 EHP4 on my Home PC Successfully . I created a New Client using SCC4 , But i am unable to log in to Newly Created Client with SAP* and Password PASS to do a client copy from 000 client.

According to Some Forum post need to change the below profile parameters

.login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0(default 1)

.login/min_password_lng = 3 (default 6)

But when i try to change the Parameters using RZ10 there is a Error message "Server iwdf7yt2_ID3_06 is not active - action cannot be executed"

I am not a basis guy, please help me to overcome this issue.

HI,

First stop your SAP system (stopsap) -> WARNING : you must run this command before change file

Then edit file /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/DEFAULT.PFL

In last line add parameter 'login/no_automatic_user_sapstar=0'

And then save file and start your SAP system again (startsap)

When you install a new sap system the profile parameters are at operating system level and you need to copy them to the database.. So do as said by the above person and then add the parameter login/ no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 in the default profile and then re-start your sap system. You should be able to login

Hi,

You would first need to import the active profiles to the database.

From tcode RZ10 -> Utilities -> Import profiles of active servers.

Then try changing/adding profile parameters.
