GRC CUP "FORWARD " Option Allowing approvers to Change Role Groups

Hi ,

We are in a process of Activating FORWARD Option in one of STAGE Levels .For Example Stage Name " Role Approver" . In this Case , if a particular "Role Approver" is getting a CUP Request , Role Approver 1 need to FORWARD it to another APPROVER (Role APPROVER 2)

We activated this Option ,but now System is allowing ROLE Approver 2 to make changes to the Role Like Change End Date / or Change Action like "Add"/Remove or so .. We dont want Role Approver 2 to make changes , but only need them to either Approve/Reject .

Please confirm what to be done here ? . Actually We have set "CHANGE REQUEST CONTENT " to NO .

Hi Jerry,

Got your point. I hope you are on an older SP. Please refer SAP note 1168508 that contains of list of enhancements made by SAP. (Might be useful for you).

Hi Jerry,

It is by design and true. An approver should have authorization to change the assignment dates while approving. The forward option is only used to forward the request to the next approver or another approver, where the request is not approved by the actual approver.

You can't disable the option to change the valid from and to dates for a role to the approver.

Hi ,

As per CUP now , normaly Approver is not able to make any changes to Roles/End Date , Only it is a problem , when an approver forward it to another . When it is forwarded it will allow to make changes .

ie ) Normal Approver - Not able to change Role /End date

Forwarded Approver - User able to change Role/Change End Date & approve .
