    Hi,

As per my understanding Scrap is a material and all material will have a valuation class and this valuation class will be different for scrap material and FG material. In transaction event key PRD we can mainatin the cost difference GL diiferent based on valuation class.

Note: In rule you have to tick valuaion class.

    Please check and conmfirm.

    Thanks and Regards

You need to be clear which kind of scrap you are referring to:

      1. Scrap inherent to the material (Stored on material master)

      2. Scrap inherent to the manufacturing process (stored on the bom)

      3. Scrap as a result of an incident during manufacturing (stored on the pr order)

      4. Wastage recorded as stock losses.

Each of these would obviously be handled differently.

    Dear Sudha,

Normally, total variances are reported in FI on the PRD key as one figure. We don't have the functionality to update the different categories to different G/L accounts. However, the variances can be analysed in CO-PA if you have enabled the "variances in costing based CO-PA" check box in the settlement profile.

    Kind Regards

      Hi Umapathi,

Thank you so much for the reply.

Yes we have checked the variances in costing based COPA.

But Business requirment is to know which depart has the scrap value.

In CO11N we are inputing the Scrap (unplanned) and while setting its posting along with other entries but business wants to see for which department it pertains etc.,

      can you please help.

      Thanks,

      Sudha
