SAP-TAO self check error Cannot get the SAP GUI version.

In sap-TAO self check , TAO is not recognizing SAP GUI 7.1/7.2 hence I am getting errors

warning -Cannot get the SAP GUI version. See SAP note 147519

Scripting support is not enabled in the satellite system. See notes 692245 and 480149.

Self-check "Satellite system scripting enabled" failed.

Satellite system scripting is enabled and other users are able to create test scripts . How to resolve this .

Hi,

We also faced the same issue.

Resolution:

User need to access the standard role SAP_TAO_AGENT_RFC pertinent to that sap GUI system under test.

Check for all the roles and authorizations has been provided to the user for System under test.

Also check for the following:

In the System Under Test screen area, select the destination of your SAP Solution Manager system in the system under test.

Note

In SAP TAO, a system is only listed as system under test if the following is the case:

o A valid RFC Destination of type TST_<SID>_CLNT<CLNT> exists.

o The server host configured in the SAP Logon entry matches the entry in the Landscape Management Data Base (LMDB).

  1. 2. Enter the user credentials.
  2. 3. To verify the connection to the system under test, choose Test User.
  3. 4. Save your settings. Only save valid connections.

Thanks,

Hello,

scripting is enabled in my target system. Although i get the error message in SAP TAO, that scripting is not enabled (i doublechecked it in transaction RZ11). When i start a PFA, i also get a message from my SAP GUI "A script is opening a connection to system TXQ", which sounds good. But then my PFA stops with the error "Process Flow Analyses cannot be created"

Any ideas what to do?

I doublechecked my settings:

- sapgui/user_scripting: TRUE

- sapgui/user_scripting_set_readonly: FALSE

- sapgui/user_scripting_disable_recording: FALSE

This should be fine right?

See below link, it will give you some information for below note but I will suggest you to work with your basis team. You need to work with your basis team to open this notes and understand and apply this notes so that all your problems resolved. The reason why I am saying is only Basis team can apply this notes.

Can you check sapgui/user_scripting_parameter = TRUE ..i donu2019t think you will have the access to RZ11 so check this parameter is set to TRUE . if not make it TRUE.

The parameter is set to true . It may not be issue with Basis as it is working with all other PCs ...only some windows XP sp3 PCs have issues

Before you go ahead and perform anything, check below compatibility matrix.

https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000724737&_SCENARIO=011000358700000002...;

Once you know what version of SAP TAO, in the same above link , under Release and Upgrade information, you can find TAO admin guides so based on version , follow the instructions to install and it has step by step instructions. And also make sure

follow proper SAP Notes. In the admin guide, they will mention what SAP notes need to apply.

QTP - Refer installation guide.

See it's tough to provide you step by step instructions as it's not one step or 10 steps. Trust me, SAP TAO is not an easy installation but if you follow proper admin guide and notes, you can install it.

I read all admin guides and nothing to do with your XP SP3 system as it supports SAP TAO, QC 10 and QTP 10 versions. Are you the only one who is using XP SP3 system in your team?

Let me know if you have any questions.
