Single sign On in MDM

I have a requirment...

Scenario is For data maintenance activity Business super user / Business Admin wants to log in MDM data manager ..but currently he is logeed in Portal

Requirment is, On portal we can have a icon where business super uesr can click and the link should logs him in data manager tool without asking user name and password. something like SSO...Is it possible?...Do we have any workaround?

you mean a link to open the client installed on local desktop?

i don't think there is such thing.

Hey Rajesh,

MDM 5.5/7.1 does not support Single Sign On functionality so far. See section 2.4 Single Sign-On Support in [MDM 7.1 Security Guide|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmdm71/helpdata/en/4d/bf9ac206ec288de10000000a42189e/MDMSecurity71.pdf], for more information.

HI Rajesh,

Yes I agree with the above posts SSO is not supported bewtween EP and MDM thick clients.

I guess webservices can help your purpose here to some extent.

SAP MDM application SSO doesn't supported

You can create Portal content by using standart sap mdm package and connect to mdm through SSO.
