Migration to Windows

Hi SAP Experts,

We are migrating from 4.7 Aix & Oracle to Windows server 2008 & SQL Server 2008.

I can understand from PAM and Several Threads that I can migrate to SQL server 2005 and then upgrade to SQL Server 2008.

I have also posted an OSS and no reply. If anybody throw some light.

Sethu

    Hi Sethu,

640_EX2 kernel supports upto "MS SQL SERVER 2005/X86_64" on WIN2003. Regarding PAM info, you will not able to run MSSQL2008, unless you upgrade your system to ECC6.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

You can do so as mentioned. The Methodology to be adapted is to to do the Heterogeneous system copy as there is a change in both OS and Database also.
