Configuring Sabbatical Leave for USA

Former Member
0 Kudos

hello gurus,

Country : USA

Leave Type : Sabbatical Leave

  • The accrual starts from the day employee is hired but he can take leave only after completing 10 yrs of service.

  • This eligibility of leave entitlement after completing 10 yrs of service is upto 10 yrs. Its not applicable from the 11th year.

  • Every 10 years an employee accrues 8 weeks (320 hours) of sabbatical time.

  • So at 10 years you get 8 weeks, and at 20 years  you get another 8 weeks, etc. (eg : 1 - 10 yrs = 320 hrs, 11-20 yrs = 320

hrs, 21-30 yrs = 320 hrs & so on)

  • If someone overuses their sabbatical time and ends up with a negative balance, we would collect that overusage back from

them.

any suggestions how to go about this??

Dear Rarepearl,

Your requirement is very impressive.

Here you need to configure in Base entitlement querying with exp... as you mentioned 1-10 320hrs....and 11-20 320 hours...means. For every 10 yrs EE will get 320 hours of sabbatical leave as per my under standing.

and you need to maintain the 10th year of ending service of the EE in Date specification i.e IT0041. The same has to be maintained in the Validity and deduction period table T559D - Deduction interval should be - No deduction before.

So that Leave can be accrued to the EE account but, cant avail it before the mentioned date.

And the other requirement of you, i.e over draft, are you providing the over draft to the EE if so how much it is, you have not mentioned clearly in your mail.

Testing could be some what difficult apart from configuration.

All the best.
