Issue : Crystal Report X1 exporting to CSV Japanese data displayed as ???

Hi,

I am using Crystal report X1 with classic ASP on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server, SP 2. When I do export to CSV, through asp code, the Japanese characters are displayed as question mark(??). But when I export to PDF or Excel, Japanese data is displayed correctly.

The crystal runtime deployed on the server is Crystal Report 11.0 runtime

I have tried to export CSV through Crystal report designer and got the same issue - ?? instead of Japanese data

The crystal report designer version I have tried is Crystal Report X1 11.0.0.1282

Crystal Report Desinger is installed in Windows Xp machine

I have tried different fonts - Arial Unicode MS, MS PMincho, MS PGothic for Text objects

1. Does the Crystal Report 11.0 has the utf-8 character encoding support for CSV ?

2. Will this problem be resolved if I install Crystal report X1 Release 2 (version 11.5)?

3. We have the license for Crystal report11.0 runtime, Can I download the Release 2 using the same product key ? And please provide the details and URL to download Crystal report 11 Release 2 ?

Please provide a solution ASAP.
