expenditures without material assignment are automatically deleted

Hi Friends,

Whenever I run DP91 transaction by specifying sales document, I am getting the following message on status bar

"expenditures without material assignment are automatically deleted".

I think we can not create expense element without material. We can supress the message by deactivate the indicator in the DIP profile, but I wanted to know why this message is coming?

If you have any idea on this, Please clarify me.

Hi Jagadish,

I guess that the system is not able to find the relavant material for billing. Please check your setting fro material determination. Let say you are using cost element as characteristic for sources for material determination and there are some expenditures in the project which do not correspond of the "Set" whcih you have mentioned, this this issue can occur.

If you are using cost element as source, then please tick " Material Origin" indicator in the material master, costing tab.
