8.81PL6 Upgrade Issue

Hi all,

We have done an upgrade from:

2005A SP0 PL9

to

2007A SP1 PL14 (this was successful, and we were able to login successfully etc)

to

8.81 SP0 PL6

NOTE: We had to do it in 2 steps as direct upgrade was unsupported. The upgrade from 2007A to 8.81 seemed to go fine via the upgrade wizard.

Once the server upgrade was finished, we tried running the SAP B1 client software on the server and as expected it advised us it would need to upgrade itself and then would restart. Once it had done that, we tried logging in but it is showing no databases/companies visible. The current server is MSSQL_2008 which is correct, and the server is (local) which is also correct. I note it won't let me edit/change the (local) to anything else.

Also, checking the Server Tools, for SBO backup, DI server, and SBO Mailer if I click "connection" the 2 dropdown fields for DB Type and DB Server are both blank.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Client software and Server Tools.

Can anyone suggest the next things to check?

Thanks,

Raj

    Hi

which OS are you using? W2008?

Do the users who run the services and SAP rights to do?

Can you try to run the Service Manager as Administrator?

    All the best.

    Hi Rajiv.......

Did you make setting for License Server?

For getting list of DBs in SAP you need to set the Server Name andits password through Configure Security.

This option comes in Server Tools > License Manager > Configure Security.

Put the B1iSiteUser and its Password you set at the time of Installation.

Then it will open a screen where you have to give Server name and its password.

    And finally Add this.....

Once you done it successfully the server will appear in choose company list of SAP where you can see the list of Databases.........

    Please check this thread......

How to change server in SAP B1 8.8

unable to modify server in 8.8

Hope this will resolve your problem........

    Regards,

    Rahul
