Formatting with EVDRE

Hi ALL,

I am using the Formatting section in EVDRE in order to define formating criteria.

One of my requirements is simply to change the colour of a cell once data has been entered. In the relevant section I entered the following however the new entry is accepted but the cell colour is not changed

CRITERIA EVALUATE IN FORMAT USE PARAMETERS APPLY TO

CHANGED (RED COLOUR) FONT,PATTERN DATA

Obviously I am missing something minor

Please advise

Lucy ( London )

    Hi Lucy,

The options you have are correct so double check that your FORMATRANGE is correctly specified and also that you don't have another line after the one you have shown which might be reversing the change. The format section applies formatting in order from top to bottom so you might have another line which is overwriting that one.

    Regards

    Sue

    Hi Lucy,

While changing the format of any cell, you need to check with the format range. If the format range includes all cells or not. If it doesnot, then it will not consider your design of format.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

The initial problem was resolved by focusing on the Format Range.

In addition I have now been attempting to lock cells in evdre according to the property of a dimansion.

Iv read the document "How to maximize advanced formatting for BPC" however I seem unable to get it to sork properly.

CRITERIA EVALUATE IN FORMAT USE PARAMETERS APPLY TO

    Acct.lk="1" ROW LOCK DATA

    Doesn't seem to work.

I am however able to refer to the property Acct.lk="1" to for example add a Fill colour tot he cells, so I know it is picking up the property ok. however it is not locking it as per the document. Looks like everything is locked.

I have also Protected the SpreadSheet

I do NOT at this time wish to use the evpro() to establish the value of the property in a hidden column.

    Any additional help appreciated

    Lucy
