    Hi,

    1. If a customer(A) say for example does a business of Rs 3 lakh for 6 months , he will get a rebate of 10% ....Rebate is given in accrual basis.....how will it be given to the customer...???

For this you have to activate rebate process for sales orgz and customer and also need to add rebate condition type in pricing procedure

Then you have to create rebate agreement for customer VBO1

Now you can process your normal sales with customer then rebate value is accured

After certain time period you settledown rebate go to VBO2 set agreement status released for settlement

Then again go to menu REBATE PAYMENT >> Final settlement >> Automatic, then system will generate credit memo request for accured amount

Then create credit note in VF01 with reference to created credit memo request

    2. What is the difference between rebate & discount..?

Both are quit same but diffrence is discount is given immediately if customer by something

where as rebate is not immediate only amount is accured and once the certain condition is fullfilled then given

    3. What is the difference between rebate & refund..?

It just a terminalogy weather it is rebate or return sales we gave refund according to organization policy

In rebate first accure amount and certain condition fullfilled then we refund money (we call it credit note)

    Thanks Kapil,

By final settlement you mean to say that once the customer has purchased total amount of goods worth Rs 3 lakh then he would be given a rebate @ 10 % on 3 lakh inform of credit memo............??? But if he purchases goods in part and partial rebate is given on the part of goods purchased.....how will the rebate be calculated...........??

    • Hi,

Rebate is applicable in Invoices and also at the time of each invoice system will calculate the Rebate based on the Accruals % how much you maintained in the Condition Record

And also one more important point is you have to activate the Rebate in Billing level

In the pricing procedure you have the select the requirement "24 " for rebate condition type

      Regards,

      Prasanna
