Dear Experts,
We have account based COPA,
Now as per the business requirement, along with the cost of sale and revenue I need to show separately Freight cost and Custom in COPA report.
I am little confused on how this can be done. Because, the following entry gets passed when I am posting Freight and custom.
Dr. Inventory
Cr. Freight(Liability)
Cr. custom(Liability)
My understanding, I need a cost element to flow the value in account based copa. In the above entry I don't have cost elements.
Therefore I am considering it is not possible to derive freight cost and custom cost separately in Account based COPA. Where as in Costing based COPA I could have done this by assigning the condition type to value fields.
Am I missing anything or if there is any other way of doing it in account based copa?
I will appreciate your input.
Regards
Paul
Hi Paul
There is no way you can get this info if the Freight and Custom duty amount is inventorized... i.e. Since it is included in the inventory, it will just reflect as a cost of sale...
If it break up is known to the sales guys, you can ask them to enter this info in Statistical Cond types on the Billing doc and then you can draw a report from SD

Hi,
In account based COPA the values flow via cost elements unline costing based where the SD conditions are mapped to value fields. So if the freight cost is not contained in a cost element it will not reflect in account based COPA
