Hi all!
I installed the "SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal on MaxDB, Developer Edition Sneak Preview - Web Application Server Java 6.40 with MaxDB, Developer Studio".
I installed it like the installation guide explained, that means without SLD !!!
Now I would like to try the tutorial "Creating a Web Dynpro Application Accessing ABAP Functions", but it needs the SLD, right?
Is there a possibility to install it afterwards? or is there a possibility to work without (I mean access a remote R/3 system)?
thanks for your help
Anne
hi Anne,
yes you'll need the SLD and you can activate the SLD aftwerwards.
there's a guide how to do it at http://service.sap.com/instguides (navigate to NW04 installations). it's called somehow like "Post-Installation SLD".
or try this link https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000204942004E.PDF

i guess during installation you can choose an already existing SLD to put an entry for your actual installing system into it (i might be wrong, it could be also the flag, whether you want to activate a SLD in your actual installation).
but anyway, you can activate the SLD in your WAS as described in the mentioned pdf (i've activated it afterwards, too)
and it's already automatically installed, if this is your concern.
