CIF Error

Hello Guys,

The issue over here is initially i send PDS and evry other data to APO and ran CTM . But CTM did not generate any planned orders at the same time on checking the PDS the operations in that in mode there was no resource to be seen .Hence i changed the machine time for a particular WC in r/3 as there were no times for any of the WC(Work Center) and the other change i made was in the capacity tab of all the WC's i selected "RELEVANT TO FINITE SCHEDULING" . Hence now i deleted all the WC and PDS and i am trying to RE-CIF them . The WC went thru but the PDS are not . I am getting an Error "CALCULATION FIELD DEFINED TOO SMALL". When i am individually trying to CIF the PDS ,the material which are not making use of this WC ,even they show the same error and the queue is blocked. Would appreciate it if someone could help.

Regards,

Aryan

    Aryan,

A common problem is when the amount of capacity (time) to produce one unit of production is so small that standard rounding rules produce a per-unit time of zero within the PDS. Core interface will generally refuse to send such a PDS..

Try going into your work center and changing the base unit of measure to a smaller unit of measure. CR02 > select work center > select capacity > header > look at base unit of measure. If it is days, change it to hours. If hours, change to minutes. If minutes, change to seconds.

Delete the Resource in SCM. Delete any PDSs or PPMs related to that resource. Delete any errored resource or PDS queues. Now re-cif the resource. recheck your routings, recheck your Prod versions, then re-cif your PDS.

    Best Regards,
