Hi folks,
We have determined that we have missed some records through our delta update of the 2lis_11_vahdr & vaitm and I have decided to re-initialize the delta for this application. I tried the Repair Request and it doubled the amounts - so I have no other option except to go for the delta re-init.
I believe I have to first stop the periodic job that updates the setup tables, execute LBWG to delete the contents of the setup table for application 11, execute OLI7BW to start the statistical setup and finally put back the periodic setup job.
The question is, when I execute the OLI7BW, I believe I don't have to enter anything in the "Document Data Restriction" fields, but what do I enter in the "Name of Run" and "Date and Time of Termination".
Is the "Name of Run" purely symbolic (can by anything)?
Is the "Date and Time of Termination" some value we enter way out in the future? In other words this transaction will continue to run until the date and time I enter in this fields?
Then I believe I have to delete the contents of the ods/cube, delete the delta queue and submit the init request. Please let me know if any of the steps or incorrect.
Appreciate it!!!
Abdul
Thanks Roberto for the clarification. We have a 24 X 7 system and we may always have users from Italy, Japan, west coast, etc. in the system at any point in time. Last time I did this, I noticed the OLI tran put a lock on the VA* transactions, etc. So I am going to trust on the same this time.
Regards,
Abdul

Hi Abdul!
> Is the "Name of Run" purely symbolic (can by anything)?
You can put any name, but this is not purely symbolic !
If your job (for any reason) stops, you don't need to restart your setup run from the beginning, but you can put another time the same name in OLI7BW, let 'new run' checkbox blank and then execute the transaction and, in this way, system restarts to fill your setup table from the last document already posted.
>Is the "Date and Time of Termination" some value we enter way out in the future? In other words this transaction will continue to run until the date and time I enter in this fields?
Yes, this function is provided to avoid very long job overloading your system or to stop the job when posting phase is restarted.
However, try always to obtain a completely free-posting phase period during your setup run in order to avoid any data loss.
Hope it helps (and please don't forget to assign some points by clickin'on the yellow star to the contributors that help you !!!)
Bye,
Roberto

Thanks Troy for the feedback. I believe the OLI7BW transaction has the indicator for blocking all the online orders while the setup tables are generated. If my assumption is incorrect, can you let me know of any jobs/progs/trans I can execute to block the document entry.
Thanks again!!

Is there anybody who can clarify the "Name" and "Date/Time" fields?
