Dear Experts

My client requirements is sales order and finished material based profitability

I want to know that If I create Sales order and material as my Characteristic Field what will be my Value field and how do we map, so that we can get Profitability Report of Sales order and material wise.

We have Product Costing in Place, Profit Centers are at Product level.

Hi,

The mapping to profitability from SD document flow is through the condition type maintained in the pricing procedure. For example the gross price condition type (say BGRP) will have the sale value. This condition type has to be mapped to the value field (ex.revenue - RR100). Likewise, you have to map the condition type according to the requirement, to the value filed.

In the report, based on the characteristics the value fields can be restricted. Hence, you can find the profitablity restricted only to the sales order and material.

Still I did not get it.

my client requirement point of view sales order and material as a Characteristics,

which table and which field can I find this characteristics or is it fixed characteristics

how can i mab to the system

Dear Sri,

you can check in KEA5 whether Sales Order# and Material is available. As these fields are not readily available so you have t create your own Charectristics and the you can define derivation rule in KEDR.

yes these fields are not readily available in KEA5, please create your own charectristics

For Sales Order Enter Table VBAK field VBELN and for Material you click on user Defined.

Now derive the Material number in KEDR.

Dear,

Value field will be you Condition Records created in SD.

Now you have to assign these condition record to your value field in COPA configuration.

For Posting the Production Variance you need to create PA transfer Structure in OKOA and assign the same to your settlement profile.

Here again I have some doubt

how the system will determine the sales order profitability

what is the field value shall I give for Material based Characteristic and also how the system will determine the Material wise profitability

Hi,

You can map the SD conditions to COPA value fields in tcode KE4I. This way you will get the values in COPA.

Sales order and product are fixed characteristics and will be available in SAP.

Do the customizing in KE4I, post your Sd documents and then check the results in KE24
