Installation Number in Service Desk Message changeable?

Former Member

Hi all,

we create service desk message directly in the solution manager. We wanted to send these to SAP too. So we filled the 'Instal.' and 'component' field.

Unfortunately there was a wrong installation number deposited and we can not send the message to SAP because they do not know this wrong installation number.

We tried to change the 'component'-field to let the installation number update itself, but this was not the case.

How can we change the installation number?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best Regards

Daniel

Hello,

Check the Installation number is correctly defined in SMSY.

This should be where Service Desk is picking up the Installation Number, because this is where system defintions are made.

I have a hunch the wrong installation number will be entered there. If it is, the change is easy. Go to change/edit mode and

fill in the correct installation number. If it is the correct installation number there, please advise in this forum.

Hello Paul,

the installation number in smsy was correct but in the Ibase it was not, so we changed it there.

It had no effect on the number in the service desk message what so ever.

We had to create a new one.

I still would like to know if i can change the instal. number in a service desk message afterwards.

Best Regards

Daniel

Hi

For controlling the authorization for IBASE below object will help you

B_NOTIF_IB

In addition make sure in BCOS_CUST table there should be just one entry for OSS_MSG in sm30

hope it helps
