Delta update

I have uploaded my full update into a cube with a full infopackage. There is a new record in R/3 now and I want to upload the data with new record, how do I do it? I did full again but it's not coming, I tried to do delta, but got an error message the 'delete int request... before int. running again.' I went to manage Infocube and deleted all request under the request tab, and still got the same error. Please help me what should I do?

Are you using V3 updates? If not what are you using to update BW?

I don't know I am using v3 or not, I have just created Infopackage and tried to upload the data from there. Pls let me know any procedures.

thanks.

Well I need to know what version of BW and R/3 you are running. Go to rsa1. Open up the package that you are trying to run that is causing the error message. Go to scheduler in upper left can corner. Go to initialization...(it says more) Highlight the init request. Click the trash can and re-run. This is a full back up not a delta, but that seems to be fine with you.

Hi Sajita,

Can you pls try this..

1.delete your initialization options from Sheduler options.

2.Initialize delta with data transfer

3.Run the program RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG from SE38 for this ODS. It will create active init.

4. Now run the Delta package with Data transfer.

Also check in the R3 source system that Table Entry in table BWOM_SETTINGS is maintained as value for parameter BWFIOVERLA = 'X' )

Pls let us know if that solves your problem.

thanks matthew now I can upload the delta load and can see that I have one new record successfully loaded but when I click on the psa icon on the scheduler monitor window. I got 'No data packet number could be found for the specific record' so please tell me how do I get to see the record.

thank.

I am not sure what you are asking, but you go to where you did the transfer. There should be a button that says display(something) at the bottom in the middle. Click that then double click the record.

Hello;

It's not working...now actually I found out that I have 600 Orders previously. When I uploaded the data I got only 24 records into my Infocube. I don't know why am I missing the data records?

Thanks.

Are you working in production or in a development environment. Also, there may have been 600 orders previously, but if there are not 600 in R/3 right now, then there won't be in BW. See if the same amount of records are in R/3 as BW.

Yes, the 600 records are in R/3. I am working on version 3.1 and 4.71 it's dev environment. The orders which are coming through has correct amount with R/3. I even created few new orders in R/3 and did delta upload in my infopackage but it shows 0 record.

Pls help me out here. thanks.

I went to the the related content infosource and found out that the transfer method is not PSA, it's via IDOC. may be that's where the problems is...how do I make it PSA?

Sajita,

if you want to perform a delta you have to do an init before...

If you want to switch your transfer method, you can do it by a radiobutton in your infosource maintenance screen...

what's the extractor are you using ?

Hope it helps...

Bye,
