Test connection failed: 'ashost' is missing"

1140 Views

Hello

We are trying to create SAP ERP system as a reference system because of to achieve SSO as described in following link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/4d/dd9b9ce80311d5995500508b6b8b11/frameset.htm

We have chosen scenario 2, which fits in our SAP landscape because we

have SAP ERP user ids are same in all sap backend system but are

different in SAP NetWeaver portal. We made a sap system using

connection string.

In connection string to application, we put a value "/H/xxx.xx.com/S/3299/H/10.200.7.73/S/3200".

On User Mapping for System Access, when we try to map user id which exists in SAP R3, following exception occurred:

"com.sap.security.core.wd.exception.UmeUiAuthenticationFailedException: Test connection failed.: 'ashost' is missing"

For complete analysis, please find the attached default trace.

Please note that we are implementing business package i.e. ESS/MSS. Besides SAP R3 as a SAP backend, we have also got SAP BW system. We want ESS/MSS to be run on both intranet and internet. Therefore, we have chosen system "SAP system using connection string", not dedicated server.

Could you please tell us that can we define "ashost" in our connection string or is there any work around to solve this error?

Regards,
