Hi ,

I am a newbie to EP. using the demo version of netweaver developer studio, I developed a Portal Component and uploaded the par file to the server. I have PDK installed and assigned the Java developer role to the administrator in the EP( demo version ). I created an iView ,Workset and Role in PCD.Also created a user in the User Admin. Then assigned the Iview to a Workset, Workset to a role and role to an user.

Now when i logon as the user, it is blank and i dont see the iView. Please guide me through the process or let me know where i can find step by step documentation.

Thanks,

Sujatha

Hi Sujatha,

"Also created a role in the User Admin" ?! Roles, as you wrote before, are created in the PCD, within User Administration, only assignment of a role to roles/groups/users are possible (but this you have done).

Please check to mark the created role or the workset (as recommended by SAP) as "entry point": Go to the workset, edit, look out for "Entry Point", mark it.

Log on again and test it.

Hope it helps

You are right..Thats suppose to be User and not role, I edited the typo. The Entry point is marked as NO for workset.when i goto edit mode, i m unable to change.I did for Role and works fine.

Thanks

Hi Rem,

THANKS, THANKS, THANKS!!!

That's really nice!

I have a list of about ten topics or more to write weblogs about, and I planned to do so since September, but I'm a guy who wants to do things really right, if he does... But this attitude consumes time...

Anyhow, I really like to be "at the front" (I hate militarism, so take it ironic), and that's the forums. With each word, you know there is someone listening, and in the good case, it also helps an individual to get further.

Best regards and thanks again for the warm welcome

Detlev
