Hello everyone,
We have a setup where Master data is loaded into ZMAT_SALE from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR.
It was working fine until yesterday. Now there is a problem in the daily delta data load. The error message is "Update Mode R is not supported by service API".I do not understand the reason for this sudden error and the solution.
I have analyzed the short dump.Short dump shows DBFIRE or duplicate records error.I know when this error occurs and tried to solve but in vain.UPDATE MODE R is something iam unable to track and solve.
Any thoughts on this please.
Thanks
KT
Hi KT,
Update mode R - refers to Repeat mode.
This means the same records in the previous data request are requested again as there might have been some problem in data transfer in the earlier request.
It seems like you have requested for the same data again . In this case SAPI will not execute the extract program again..as this might contain new records...so SAPI will not support update mode "R".
As you are requesting the same data again..the one which got already posted..is being posted again which resulted in duplicate.

Hello Manga,
Thanks for your reply.
As i mentioned earlier.....it is a daily delta load.....so loads are automatically taken care by process chains...
The daily delta data load has failed,it means the last delta is not loaded. When i checked the error it was update mode R.As it was executing fine daily i do not understand the reason for this error.
As per your statement that iam repeating the delta load is not happening in my case. The load failure shows this error.Ofcourse if i reload the data as you said then this error may occur...but my daily delta load has failed. So what can be the solution?
Thanks in advance
KT
