Update Mode R

Hello everyone,

We have a setup where Master data is loaded into ZMAT_SALE from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR.

It was working fine until yesterday. Now there is a problem in the daily delta data load. The error message is "Update Mode R is not supported by service API".I do not understand the reason for this sudden error and the solution.

I have analyzed the short dump.Short dump shows DBFIRE or duplicate records error.I know when this error occurs and tried to solve but in vain.UPDATE MODE R is something iam unable to track and solve.

Any thoughts on this please.

    Hi KT,

Update mode R - refers to Repeat mode.

This means the same records in the previous data request are requested again as there might have been some problem in data transfer in the earlier request.

It seems like you have requested for the same data again . In this case SAPI will not execute the extract program this might contain new SAPI will not support update mode "R".

As you are requesting the same data again..the one which got already being posted again which resulted in duplicate.

If you have the data pertaining to the delta in a flat file ..if you don't have then download it to a flat file..and delete the request BW as the data request might have been marked as red .and load again thru flat file..
