Sizing standalone SLD server

Hi

We currently have a XI30 system and a SLD (all-in-one)

up and running but would like to move the SLD to its own

server with its own DB running on the same server.

Does anybody have any experience with a stand alone

SLD server and what kind of hardware is required (number

of CPU's, how much RAM)?

Hi Jes,

Based on experience a base J2EE instance (for the SLD) should have 1G RAM. Earlier SPs would work on lower memory but the current SP does need the 1GB. It is not CPU bound except during total CIM uploads so a single current day spec cpu will be good enough for XI needs.
