Value Mapping

Hi,

I want to ask question, what kind of role that "Value mapping contex" plays. In mapping document "Mapping functionality in XI", it give only this sentence:

"Value Mapping Context stores

information on the origin of the data.

If data is maintained in the Integration

Directory, use

http://sap.com/xi/XI"

What does it mean?

Many thanks!

    Hi Xen,

You can add "value mapping" in the repository, as soon as you add the value mapping to an exsting mapping a popup appears where you need to enter Value Mapping context like you said in the above message and add some other variables like Agency and Schema. You need the http://sap.com/xi/XI to ensure that XI knows where to look at the values (for the value mapping) defined in the Directory

    cheers,

    Paul
