File/Template save time is incorrect in Excel client

Hi,

We have this issue with some of our users, when they save a file/template in excel client to server the modified time shows is 4hours ahead of actual saved time. We are on BPC 7.5 NW SP07

For example: If I save a file at 10am it shows 2pm. - I'm refering to modified time thats displayed next to file.

This is not happening with any other files saved on the PC its just with files saved to server again for only few users.

Please suggest how to correct this, is this a bug or something??

This could be due to the system time difference in the backend. For ABAP systems, there is always a system time which may be different than the users time zone. It could be that the code handling the file service could be using this system time, and not necessarily the users time in their specific time zone.

You can check you system time by logging on to the backend via SAPgui, and going to "System", then "Status". Check the system time, and see if there is a difference.

Thanks for your reply.

The time zone at the ABAP side is correct. This is happening only with few users.

Is there any user specific setting to be done or any setting to be done at the .NET server/excel/admin client?

Hi,

Users those who are getting this timing issue, is their client version of SP same as server (SP)?Always client and server should be at same level of Support Pack.
