Lo data source identification from Lis data source

Hi Experts,

we have a requriment for sd,while activating the business content in sap bi side we found the data source

2LIS_01_S001

2LIS_01_S005

2LIS_01_S261

2LIS_01_S260

2LIS_01_S264

2LIS_01_S262

2LIS_01_S263

apart from the standard lo data sources.corresponding to different data targets,but these are related to lis data source.

how to find out the corresponding lo data sources,is there any possibility to migrate to lo data sources from lis data sources,

how good we can handle the lis data source with netweaver 7.0 ehp 1,business content 705 level 1.in ecc side ecc 6.0 sap bw release 701 level 006.

pls guide me with the approach how to identify the lo data sources for the corresponding lis data sources and the wourk around process in updating the lis to lo if possible.

Hi,

For Sales and distribution cube 0SD_C01 (Customer), deliveries you have to follow LIS steps in order to bring data into it. I am not sure about migration from lis to lo but there is a way to do that as well. We have configured LIS structure in our organization and is working fine.

HI thanks for the reply,

were there any lo data source related to the customer cube,because lo data source has got more advantages than lis and also i heard sap had upgraded lis to lo for the same reason.

so is there any lo data source for the corresponding cubes or do we have to go with the same lis data source,even though we have sap netweaver 7.0 version.

pls advice me.

Hi,

We are on BI7 as well but we could not find any other datasource in business contents that provide data to these cubes, the only datasource that provide data to customer cube is 2LIS_01_S001. So I think better it is to follow LIS extraction steps. You will find some steps guides on sdn.

HI,

Not sure about others LIS Datasources, as in some cases sap has provided alternative lo datasources. But in case of SD we could not find any alternative cube for customers so we have implemented LIS Extraction.

i have gone through the document which you have sent,it shows the lo extraction details and information,but i struck how can we find the corresponding data sources for the lis extractor in lo.

because in my bi business content i have found the old lis info source attached to the cube,i am very much confused in sorting the issues.do i have to upgrade my business content version or is there any work around process to it,

in the similar passion i have infosource 0FI_FM_1,0FI_FM_2 from ecc line up to the infocube 0FIFM_C01 related to fund management,but where as i am unable to find such data sources in ecc.

pls suggest me.

these datasources are the old lis ...they refer to SAP BW 2.1 and they are out of maintenance

for SD extraction you should refer to 2lis_02_SCL, 2lis_02_SCL and others
