Regarding Table control editing

Hai,

Thanks for your kind assistance.

I have table control attached with addon table at scfeen,

displaying set of records. Also i have push button "RESERVED"

on appliction bar at top of table control.

Now when i select particular "STATUS" FIELD cell record

from table and Click push button, this STATUS field value

should be replaced by "R" value inside.

How to do this. could you pls give some steps.

    Your problem statement is not at all clear. What is this <i>particular "STATUS" FIELD</i> ?Could you please explain the situation more clearly so that it could be easily understood and answered?

      hi chandra,

      from what i understand, the table control has an internal table holding its values at the back-end. what u need to do is, as soon as u click on the "Reserved" button, u modify the contents of the internal table to 'R' or whatever is relevant. As for reading the values from the table control, the first thing that u need to do when a user performs any form of input is to update the inernal table. this can be done by inserting a custom module in PAI like

      Module UPDATE_IT.

      Within this module u look through the table control and update the contents of the internal table. This way as soon as the user performs any action the contents of the table get saved. Then you can loop through the internal table as and when required and retrieve or update the values.

    Hi Kumar...

    Use this stmt...

    modify it_outtab from wa_outtab index tabl_ctrl-current_line.

    -

    where it_outtab is the output table...

    wa_outtab contains modified data which gets into it_outtab when click event occurs
