CONFIRMATION Goods Movement 261

Hi SAP Experts,

I'm facing an issue wherein during confirmation goods issue (transaction CO11), the batch is automatically assigned by the system. It looks like in co11 the batches are determined based on what is available in the warehouse bin/PSA. Prior to this, WM staging already happened where TRs are converted into a Transfer Orders to pick the components to replenish to the Production Supply Area. The requirement is that during confirmation with automatic goods issue , determine the batch which first expire but the with current case, the oldest Quant (the first batch entered in the bin) is being selected automatically by the system. I would like to know if there is a configuration involved in WM or in IM wherein the system checks the SLED at Storage bin level instead of the oldest quant. We have tried the batch determination strategy (FEFO)but still the system assigns the oldest quant. We have also tried the stock removal strategy for FEFO but still unsuccessful and it looks like this only apply for TO creation. I would like to seek for your advice on this.

Thanks,

JP

    Hi MM/WM Gurus,

Any thoughts? I had asked our developer to debug this standard program and we found out that the system automatically assigns batch based on the sorted u201CDate of last placement into stocku201D (LQUA_EDATU). What we would like to happen is that to have the batches sorted based on SLED (VFDAT). Please let me know of your thoughts is there any possible solution in applying the FEFO function on this case.

    Thanks,

    JP

      Hi,

Please try to assign the batch determination procedure based on the expiry date (sort rule). then in the material master for the component (raw materials MRP 2 assign batch entry as 3), so once the order is released the batch will be determined based on Expiry date based on the sort rule and then while saving TR and TO will be created based on the batch number captured in the Production Order, and the same batch will be refelected while doing the confirmation in CO11N.

      Thanks,

      JK
