Missing/Invalid partner co. code or Global Co.- Trading Partner related.

Hello all,

I set up a new Trading Partner in t-code OX15. When I go to post to it with T-code FBV1 I get the following error:

Missing/Invalid partner company code or Global company SFP

Can someone help me out here. I searched OSS Notes and they don not provide a good solution for this error. What configuration am I missing? Does SFP need to be added somewhere else?

Can you please provide the complete error message (copy + paste from the original) with the error message number and the long text? This will be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Here is the complete error message:

Missing/Invalid partner company code or Global company SFP

Message no. 029

"SFP" is the new Trading Partner that I've added as "Company" using t-code OX15.

I had one of those "...coulda had a V8" moments. The error message was "ZS 029"

Normally the "Z" triggers my brain that this is something internal. Well it finally came to me that this was an internal error message. I found a Validation rule that was checking for G/L Accounts in one set required a trading partner which had to be part of a second set. Once I added "SFP" to the Trading Partner set everything was fine.
