I have an SRM 4.0 installation on WAS 6.40 updated to SP stack 9. I am able to get the webgui ITS no problem. I am also able to get the splash screen for bbpstart, but it's in German. The ~language parameter in the bbpstart ICF service doesn't seem to have any affect. Where do I administer parameters like that in the absence of a global services file?
Also, both my webgui and bbpstart pages give a warning the SSO is not enabled. I never set it up and would like to just get basic authentication working.
Is there a good comprehensive PDF file on administering ITS 6.40? I don't find the info on help.sap.com to be very good.
You need to set up the service parameters both at SICF node and also at the service itself (SE80-internet service)
SSO: In the SICF tree check what type of logon procedure is set for your service. You also have to publish your services to site called INTERNAL.
Hope this helps.

I set them up in the SICF service --> ERROR PAGES tab. But I unchecked the accessability option, and I unchecked the Language display, yet now the bbpstart page is in English, as it should be, but those fields exist. I did publish everything to INTERNAL.
As for SSO, the logon type specified is 'standard'. Other options are 'alternative logon order', 'logon data required', 'client cert. (SSL) required'.
