Upload and Download of documnets using RMS

I am new to concept RMS.Can any1 tell me in detail how to upload or download a document using rms..If possible provide any example

This is more of an ABAP specific question and not Web Dynpro.

Any how please check below article , it talks about sending files to RMS from a WD JAVA application:
