Position are created in OM thru T.code PPOME or PP01

In PA, thru PA40 hiring action is executed which takes to IT0000 screen wherein you can pic the position you have created already in OM in PA to assign it to the employee.

    Dear siva prasad,

You cannot direct create a position.

Position can be created only in OM.

You can assign this position to a person thru action in hiring in IT0000 only.

    This is only the procedure.

    all the best.

    Hi,

If I am not wrong you are asking about how to create a position. If you want to create a position then you have to use Tcode PO13 and if you have already created a position and you want to assign it to particular person then while hiring action(Tcode PA40) select the position in IT0000.

    Reagrds,

    Hi,

Positions are created in OM under a particular Org unit which has a Cost center linked to it.

As soon as you assign a Position to an Employee all the other information is automatically picked from OM for the other Infotypes.

I hope this helps you in your query else please elaborate the same so we can help you.

    Regards,

    Jaillakshmi

    Hi,

Firstly create the position through any of the transaction code PPOME / PP01 or P013 and then assign the position through the PA40 action.

There is another option: - First run a PA40 action with a default position (99999999) and then run an Org Reassignment Action to change the position.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Thanks

    Hi Shiva,

positions are created in OM sub module.when a position is created a number is automatecally generated for that position.

And then later when you want to hire a person on the created position you need to perform HIring Action.

Hiring Action will trigger Infotype 0000. In Infotype 0000 action you have to enter the postion number you have crated in OM sub module. After hiring action is compleated go to PA30 or PA20 and enter infotype 0000 you can see the positon number just now you have hired.

    this forms the link .

    Thx

    Jinnu

      Siva,

OM is just a graphical representation of the organization structure where we create Objects like O,P,K,S,C etc

Now your quest how pa30 is linked with OM position?

Simple when we hire an employee in pa40 1st action which trigger is IT 0000(action) so in that IT we can see org assignment where it aske for position tab there choose your position what you have created in OM. ex: Manager,Hr Manager,Trainee and assign in that box accordingly.

And save the screen then you will get a personal number assigned to the position what you choosen.

Now go to your OM structure and when you refresh you tree structure you will seen a person name and his id number under the positon.

This is were, where we are integrating OM and PA.

Note: To trigger all action automatically you have to configure Actions, info menu, infotypes

      Thanks
