Hi Gafoor,

As a poweruser you dont have any rihgt to change the SAP config. Contact your support team and write to them explaining the problem , then they will solve it.

but if you can do on your own, \

check the folowing.

type the tcode sm30 and enter V_T551C or type SPRO -> time data and admin -> absence-> abs catalog -> abs counting -> define counitng class for periodic work schedule.

In this table check your entry against your ESG GRP and you need to enter counting class ranging from 1 - 9.

I really thank everyone for their valued answers, and as advised, i tried to rectify, but unfortunately, i don't have the authorization to do. so, this issue has been forwarded to our consultant and expecting a reply from him... warm regards, Abdul Gafoor

as user no one will have authorization to do configuration changes, as power user you might have all the authorization s in the production system ...... but any configuation changes we have to do in Developement system.. from development we will move the config to quality and to prodcution system..

so in future for any config issues you can contact your consultant for their support..

Hi,

Pls see my answers to your questions:

1. How to assign work schedule rules?

Work Schedule rules are assigned in table V_T508A.

2. 1 to 9 means what?

These are Holiday classes. Public holidays are grouped into public holiday classes in SAP R/3 Human Resources. The public holiday class is used for the selection of time wage types, daily work schedule variants, day types, and for absence counting. In the standard SAP R/3 System, the public holiday class 1 is assigned to "ordinary| full-day public holidays and the public holiday class 2 is assigned to half-day public holidays.

There are 0-9 Public holiday classes.

You can use a value from 0 to 9 for the public holiday class; 0 or blank is used for days that are not public holidays.

Not all public holidays are treated in the same way.For example there are different bonuses assigned for working on different public holidays (Ex 1st May). If you want to treat this holidays differently, then assign a different holiday class (value from 0 - 9).

3. where to write rules?

Rules are configured in table T553A. In this step, you set rules according to the public holiday class to specify which day types should be assigned to public holidays on weekdays and public holidays on weekends.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi

You cannot rectify this as a USER ...

You need to raise a ticket in the support function for this config error.

Hi,

The error is because of a configuration error. As a user, you will have to get in touch with your functional consultant and they will update the table V_T551C (COunting classes for the PWS).

Thanks

Hi Gafoor,

Please maintain the counting class for your period work schedule in table V_T551C through transaction SM30. Maintain Personnel subarea grouping, Period work schedule, start date and end date.

SPRO path is :-Time Management-Time Data Recording and administration-Absences-Absence catalog-Absence Counting-Define Counting classes for Period Work schedule.

This will solve your issue.
