I have learnt sap sd module. My SD faculty said to me "every functional consultant should know ABAP cross applications to work on sap functional module. So I want to learn complete ABAP. But I am management graduate with out having technical knowledge like C,C++. I met a ABAP faculty he said "it is possible i will teach"

Friends please give me suggestion

Thank & Regards

First of all you have do decide that weather you want to go for fumctional or technical profile.

It is not like that you must do abap when you have have done sd only.

The basic ABAP is required to understand sometime but not indept knowledge.

Hi,

You don't need any technical skills if you want to enter functional profile, and if you really want to learn abap then just go through the basics of it .

We could talk about this topic for hours, but I am afraid you need to understand the situation yourself first. Random thoughts:

1) ABAP is always useful, but for some positions it is a plus, not a must

2) ABAP has very little in common with C for example. At least that is my opinion. It`s more like PHP or Pascal than C.

3) if your skills are different from the average developer (you say they are), then spending time on ABAP (which you might not need that often or not need at all) would mean you have no time for learning stuff that is more suitable for your current professional profile, your ambitions, jobs where you could fit.
