Divergence with MD50 and CU50 dependencies rules

Dear SAP Gurus,

Checking on SAP notes, I found the number 76005 regarding my issue. In the soluton proposal, it says that the characteristics value assignement must be called again in existing configuration (in my case, the sales order)

Does anyone knows what this means?

Hello Oliver,

What that means is that you will need to goto the change mode of the objects eg sales order and save it again in order to get the data saved on the database. If the characteristic is not assigned to the variant class then no value is stored on the database. Once you assign it , the database needs to be updated. And to do that you need to goto the object and save it again. In your case you wil lneed to use VA02 for the order . goto configuration , backout and save...This will update the database
