Hi,
Is there any document which shows sample usage of BX_FAVOS_ADD_URL? Is this function used to add the bw web report to internet explorer favorites or to bookmark in sap bw favorites?
Many thanks.
Does anyone have an example of this ?
The sample html/java script to actually make it work?

I haven't seen any documents on this. The function is used for adding an URL to SAP BW favorites. It will be stored on the BW user favorite and it won't be machine dependent.
Thanks.

The function module accepts the whole URL (http://<servername>/sap/bw/bex?SAP-LANGUAGE=E&BOOKMARK_ID=3VUKB8U6KMBKG7A3DLKAB1OMJ) and stores as a favorite in the user favortites on the server. Users will be able to access it from the role menu (if the role has display favorite option enabled) the next time they login.
Thanks.
Thanks Deepu for the good answer. Are there any other special function modules like BX_FAVOS_ADD_URL, which can be used in BW by creating BSPs. I mean other than OLAP BAPIs. Also, is there any function module, which can be used to open a view from a web report.(like RSAH_LAUNCH_EXCEL for workbook)
Hi Deepu,
What I am looking for is a function module, which will accept the technical name of the view and then show it in excel. Actually, I want to put a button in the web report and connect that button to a BSP which will call this function module. When the user clicks on this button, the view corresponding to the web report should open with BEx functionalities.(I do not want export to excel, which does not provide Bex functionalities)
Many Thanks.
