how filter the columns dynamically using range parameter values?

hi,

i want to display the month columns from jan to dec dynamically. that is when we select a prompt as jan to mar . the columns in between jan to mar needs to be display on the report. and here i'm using a range parameter for the month . need selection using only one parameter

can anyone help me on this?

Upgrade to Business Objects enterprise and use WEBI reporting tool They can build their own reports. Otherwise create an application and RAS and build your own report designer using a master report template they can simply remove fields not required.

thanks for your reply.

i have tried that solution using cross tab previously. Now, i do not want cross tab in my report. i want to display the data as a standard report. My client needs the same for standard report.

For, that i have created prompts on each column field. when we refresh the report we need to enter the prompt for each column

but, it's not meeting my client's requirement. they want one single parameter based on that they need to filter the columns dynamically.

can you please help me on this?

Hi Sruti,

Create a cross tab to get columns dynamically. Place your date field on columns and go in group options and select Monthwise.

In your record selection filter the data based on your range parameter.
