MM master adta migration

Hi all,

I am doing MM master data migration.

The datasource is 0matl_group_text.

It has 1 transfer rule and 3 update rules.

Update rules are

1.0GN_CAT_PUR 0MATL_GROUP_TEXT

2.0GN_CAT_PUR$T 0MATL_GROUP_TEXT

3.0MATL_GROUP$T 0MATL_GROUP_TEXT

In that process whrn i was creating transformation for transfer rule I get the following error.

Initial error occurred during generation of the transformation

I found 2 solutions in forums.

1.Check if transfer option in transfer rules is et to PSA(it shouldnt be IDOC)

2.Maku sure you have infoarea assigned to infoobject.

I have checked for 0matl_group.Its fine.

But Do I also have to check for 0GN_CAT_PUR also?

I made a check for it.It has infoarea but Application component is not maintianed.Is that the problem?

Please help me out.

Hi,

It's not required activating all update rules associated with 0matl_group (text). It would be enough to load the text information based on Data source 0matl_group_text.

I got it solved.

I have to use system generated infosource while creating Transformation where as we wre using Zinfosourcename.

Thats the problem
