My client is working on sales order basis i.e. MTO, there is a scenario which has to be fulfilled in SAP
There is a finish product u201CMu201D, to produce u201CMu201D raw material u201CAu201D(which is very cheap) and raw material u201CBu201D is required but during production if in case of shortage of raw material u201CAu201D company start using raw material u201CXu201D (which is very costly) as a replacement of raw material u201CAu201D. All this happens against the same sales order and in same production order.
How such scenario can be catered in SAP following the Best Practice and what are the impacts and settings which should be done in Controlling for the purpose of valuation
