Enhancement of Data source

Hi All

After loading the data into an particular cube ,i would like to add some fields in the datasource & Cube also.How shall i do. i want steps & where to do(means T.CODE)? Give me an real time example how u have done ? Plz help me out.

    Hi Ajay,

    usually you have to create an append on the extract structure in R/3 (SE11 or in RSA6...or directly in LBWE if this is possible) and then to fill it in a specific userexit. After done this you have to replicate your source system in BW and then you have to map your new field in the trasfer structure by assigning it to an infobject...insert this infobject in the cube, map it in the update rules and...that's all !!!

    But, anyway, tell me what datasource are you using (there are many many specific different situation) and I will give you more useful detail !

      Hi Ajay,

      in LBWE, application 02, you can add some fields from the provided ones...otherwise you need to create an append..let me know what field do you need and I will give you all the details....
