How to change TREX Config?

Does anyone know how to change the config in TREX after you install it?

When you're installing TREX it asks you for the Parameters of your server etc.. We've used IP addresses instead of hostnames and need to change this because the IP addresses have changed, causing the system not to work.

Please help!

Craig

    Hi Craig,

you will probably mostly have to change on the EP-KM side under System Administration - System Configuration - Knowledge Management - Configuration - TREX - TREX Java Client.

In all entries here ("HTTP Server", etc.) look for the maintained IP address and change it to the host name. If the IP is nowhere to be found, but rather a variable <%trexserver%> you will have to check the ".properties" files of KM to see wether this value has been set in config.properties or configlocal.properties.

This could be slightly different depending on your Portal/WebAS and TREX Release. If the above does not help, please let me know, which releases you are running AND if the TREX connection did work before the IP change...there are other potential malconfiguration spots...

    Regards, Karsten
