Object deletion

Hi

As per the chenges in the requirement one column in the data base is deleted in the table.Before column is deleted object refers

the same column in the database.it will get any error or i need to delete the object.but i know

we delete the object object id remains the same

go to the query panel and delete the object manually. this will eliminate any errors in the future. but make sure there are no variables created out of that object which will cause errors in the report.

Use

NULL <ColumnName>

To avoid any changes in report. Otherwise you would need to change reports to not to use that object.

If the column is not there in the table, the object will throw error while parsing in the universe. Also, the reports using that object will encounter error while refreshing.

you can remove that object from universe or remap it to an alternative field if available. If you delete the object from universe, you need to edit the reports as well to avoid error in the report.
