Hello,

For a customer project, the AUC is created automatically which is not right.

We did analyisfrom our end.

1. It's a customer project

2. Investment profile is not assigned at the project profile level since it's a customer project.

3. we tried creating a project using the same profile in QAS environment, but the AUC is not created

So, could anybody help us in knowing what could have gone wrong, it will help us in our analysis.

Regards,

Nitin

Check the control tab of the WBSE which has AUC status, somebody might have assigned the IM profile manually there. As a good practice, use the field controls to hide unwanted fields which is not required for your clients business process.

Hello,

Even in the WBSE control tab, the IM profile is not manually assigned.

It has only the AUC status or the AUC exists as the asset master record? If it has only AUC status and no asset master record then there is a possibility of status inconsistency for which you can use this program CNSTATUS to correct it.

Ok, the only way which I know where AUC gets created automatically for a WBSE is by assigning IM profile, but you say that your WBSE doesnt have IM profile. Check at the table level for the WBSE and see whether you can find the IM profile there or not. Also try to delete the AUC manually from asset transaction and see what message is getting issued.

What is your version of SAP? Also check the change documents, if you have activated, if someone has entered IM profile and later deleted, I can see some OSS notes for which AUC is not deleted even after removing IM profile from WBSE for versions like 4.6.

Hello,

The change document is activated, no changes have been done. we are able to view the investment profile in PRPS table but not at the master data level in the control tab of WBSE.

Investment profile is not there in the project profile or the IM key is assigned in the control tab of WBSE.

How do we go about it..?

Ok, so you mean to say that you find IM profile value in PRPS-IMPRF but you dont see that field value in control tab of WBSE, it is strange. If you want to delete the AUC then you have to remove the IM profile from the WBSE, but since it is not displayed in your case, I would suggest you to enter the IM profile, which you find in the table , in the control tab of WBSE then save it. Again reopen the WBSE and this time delete IM profile and see whether AUC is gettting deleted or not.

Investment profile is not assigned to this project profile. Do we need to assign it at the project level and then activate it.

How do we go about activating in the WBS control tab.

Can you please guide me through the steps..

In the WBS detail screen if you go to the Control tab page you can see the 'Investment Profile' field. This is where you specify the investment profile.

Hi,

On investment profile (OITA) under investment measure you can control AUC creation using tick "Manage AUC".

find the investment profile assigned to your project & do the needful.
