Two plants but common order; really interesting

Dear all,

I have two plant say A and B. Now if one customer give me order of 100 units then system should check the dependent material stock from both plant and should suggest me that were i should release the production order.

Dear Patel,

This functionality cannot be addressed in SAP PP module,however based on different plant's stock,capacity availability the

system can propose the orders in different plants for which you can check in APO-SNP.

Check and revert

This facility is not avialable in standard SAP.Please check in APO

Hi,

I think standard SAP will not suggest the plant to run production. I hear'd that APO is having this functionality. Meaning, let say your company is having four plants in India were you are producing same products, The plants are located in chennai, mumbai, delhi and culcutta. If you have SAP APO then if you get order from Bangalore, then system will see which is the near plant located in bangalore and release production order. If the nearer plant is booked fully then system will suggest the next nearer plant.

But these things can happen only in APO.
