Monthly different interest rate to be applied on AUC

Hi,

We have created a different asset class for AUC, the requirement is that the interest rate on this asset class will vary every month. Every month user needs to input their own interest rate.

I can configure a depreciation key with interest indicator (fixed value).

If I change the asset with another depreciation key (which contains different interest indicator), I know the system recalculates the interest on these assets.

Is there a way the user can calculate the interest on a monthly basis with different rates and the system should not recalculate the interest.

Thanks in advance for your valuable view.

Thanks,

Ravi

Can this scenario be really achievable in SAP?

Any valid thoughts will be appreciated.

your question is very specific.. but ans is i don't know. i am not trying to ans your question but some thoughts..

If we look at the scenario, the first thing came into my mind is, 'Shiftwise dep.' as we all know this is the only best way to achieve different rates for a period to calculate dep. Even that would have been difficult if the interest rate keeps on fluctuating frequently and that to unfortunately shift dep does not work for interest calculation.

I would like to know further if you found any solution on this issue..

    Hi Ravi,

Recently I came across one SAP Note hope it helps you..

SAP NOTE: 1136788.. some text of this note..

If you use the new depreciation calculation, proceed as follows:

Call transaction SM34, enter the view cluster VC_T090NSK and choose Maintain.

    Create a multilevel method.

Maintain the levels. You can now enter any valid-to date.

For the above example, the number of entries is reduced to:

    Valid to Deprec. percent

    31.12.2006 p0

    31.12.2007 p1

    31.12.2008 p2

    31.12.2009 p3

    Regards,

No. it isn't required.. let me tell you what i did..

      1. I opened this view as guided in note i.e. through SM34 --> Maintain (VC_T090NSK) which open's up somewhat similar to AFAMS.

      2. Defined new multilevel method for interest in this view.

      3. in this method i had maintained entries as follows:

      Valid To Base method Percentage

      06/30/2011 27 10.0000

      07/31/2011 27 20.0000

      08/31/2011 27 30.0000

      09/30/2011 27 40.0000

      10/31/2011 27 50.0000

      12/31/2011 27 50.0000

      4. Assigned this new multilevel method to dep. key.

      5. Boom here you go.. period wise dep calc in AW01N.
