Characteristic changes without key figues changes are not recorded in ODS?

Hello,

for a non-SAP source system we've modeled an ODS with:

- a single key figure,

- a key consisting of a document_id and a time reference and

- an additional characteristic "status of the key figure".

Due to the processing of the source system it may happen that the

value of the characteristic "status" changes without a change of the key figure value.

If that happens this change is not processed to the active data of the ODS!

As 0RECORDMODE we are using "After Image".

Any change of the key figure value AND the value of the characteristic "status", however, is recorded quite nicely.

Basically, we always want to have the latest value of the characteristic "status" in the ODS.

At the moment we are quite unsure, if

- this is not possible with an ODS at all (since the key figure value does not change) or

- we are using a wrong record mode or

- we need to change our model ...

Any help or suggestion would be much appreciated!

Frank.

    Hello,

In your ODS, while defining the update rules for the STATUS OBJECT, use "OVERWRITE" option for it. This will ensure you will see latest version of it. It doesnt matter that the Key figure doesnt change. The existing data will be overwritten in STATUS OBJECT.
