Availability control for investment budget profile

Dear colleagues,

I have a query regarding with tolerance limits for availability control in Investment Management module.

I have customized availability control as the following;

Profile Activity group Action Usage (100%)

XX 01 (Purchase order) 3 (Error message) 100

I have an investment ID, say 999, which has 10.000 EUR budget in fiscal year 2011.

PR is created with respect to inv.ID 999 and valuation price is 15.000 EUR. While creating PO with reference to that PR if PO net value is 10.001 EUR (or more) I expect that system should give an error message (BP604-Item & budget exceeded) since budget of inv.ID 999 is exceeded by 1 EUR (or more) but it does not! Unless PO net value is increased more than PR valuation price then system gives error message (BP604).

If I create PO without referencing PR and net value would be 15.000 EUR then system gives error message (BP604).

How can I ensure that first case (PO referencing PR) should act like second one (PO without PR)?

Regards

Metin

Hi,

Please take a look at SAP Note 783161 (vailability control check only if assigned value increases) and 1424698 (Budget exceeded despite active availability control)

Thanks for the answer.

God knows what else we are going to see with SAPu2019s weird logics!
