Can Netweaver developer Studio be used for ep6 sp2 development purposes

Hi All,

I was trying to use the netweaver developer studio V2.0.3 instead of eclipse for development purposes, but it did not have an option to export the par file, I still think it is possible, I would like to know how to go about this

Thanks,

Rajitha

    Hi Rajitha,

I am using NWDS 2.0.9 (+EP 6.0 SP9). In the package explorer right-click on your project. There you have an option to "Quick PAR upload".

Also watch out which version of NWDS you are using. SAP suggests to use the NWDS version that belongs to the version of the portal. NWDS 2.0.x where the x refers to the stack of the portal. So in our case: NWDS 2.0.9 and EP 6.0 SP9.

    Hope this helps,

    Noel

    Hi Noel,

    Thanks,

    • Hi Ralitha,

EP60 SP2 and NWDS 2.0.9. are not fully compatible together as 2.0.9 is fiited to be used with EP60 SP9(based on SAP J2ee 6.40). This is one point.

With 2.0.7, this is the first version where EP plugins(PDK) where integrated inside NWDS delivery.

If you want to use SP2 PDK and updated it you can download update from your portal installation.

log on in your portal -> System Administration -> Support -> Portal Runtime and in th bottom, you should have the link for updating.

Anyway your plugins should work and you should have your export option availble. Are you sure your eclipse project is with Portal Nature?

      Best Regards,

      Frederic
