Passing variables to scripts from a package

Hi folks,

I am struggling with an issue, and I'm hoping you can help.

We are currently running BPC for MS7.0 SP7.

I want to automate the task of copying data from one category to another, to enable a quick-and-easy starting point for planning scenarios, etc. The scripts I have built in 5 applications can all be triggered by running the script in my Finance application, using the RUNLOGIC function.

When I run the script this way, using the Debugger with the simulation mode switched off, and specify an Entity and Category, it works like a dream - each application in turn completes the copy across into the new category (as specified) and within the specified entity.

The problem comes when I try to launch the same thing from a package. I have the selection boxes for the user to choose their Category and Entity, but when the script runs it ignores the items selected and runs on random parameters instead.

The individual scripts all use the CATEGORY = %CATEGORY_SET% and ENTITY = %ENTITY_SET% XDIM statements, and these are used when run as a script. But when run as a package they are ignored.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Thanks very much,

Jason
